    Breaking, distortion or burning out of any part of the Machinery occurring whilst in ordinary use and arising from
    – a mechanical or electrical defect
    – sudden unforeseen failure of boiler or pressure plant
    – complete severance of a rope
    – fracturing or distortion by frost

  • Collapse

    The sudden and dangerous distortion of any part of the machinery caused by crushing stress by force of steam or fluid pressure

    Interruption or interference to your business due to
    • Loss of or damage caused by or consisting of
    – fire, lightning, aircraft or aerial devices, storm, flood,inundation from the sea, escape of water from any tank, apparatus or pipe, subsidence, ground heave or landslip, theft or attempted theft
    regardless of any contributory cause
    – Gradual deterioration or wear and tear
    – Gradually developing defects
    – Loose or defective joints
    – Chemical reaction or ignition
    • Breakdown of Machinery which has not completed
    one month’s trouble free operation

    • Damage to
    – Non-metallic or refractory linings, cutting edges,
    moulds, patterns, dies, heating elements, cables,
    ropes, belts or chains
    – Supporting structures, foundations, masonry or
    brickwork
    – Office equipment or spare parts

    • Property Cover
    At the time of the loss or damage you shall have in
    force an insurance policy covering your interest in the
    machinery for the loss or damage

    • Maintenance
    You must maintain the machinery in accordance with
    manufacturer’s recommendations

Cover during the indemnity period for loss of gross profit due to a reduction in turnover and increase in cost of working following damage to your machinery due to
Accidental damage
Accidental damage by any external cause not otherwise excluded

Breaking, distortion or burning out of any part of the Machinery occurring whilst in ordinary use and arising from
– a mechanical or electrical defect
– sudden unforeseen failure of boiler or pressure plant
– complete severance of a rope
