Further projects using the unique funtionality of UAV’s (unmanned aerial vehicles or ‘drones’) has emerged as the World Wildlife Fund announces that $5m in funding will be provided to photograph poachers and track animals via smart radio tags.
The near silent operation of UAV’s will certainly help to enable close photography work and it is hoped that the project will help to protect rhinos, tigers and elephants in Africa and Asia.
It’s another exciting development for this new technology.
